There's no contract or long-term commitment—just come train with Master Yu and see if our school feels right for you. We only take a limited number of new students each month, so call to reserve your spot.
Show up. Stand still. Go again. Discipline is the quiet habit that turns talent into mastery.
02 · Respect
Bow in. Bow out. Treat every partner, every belt, and every elder with the dignity you would want returned.
03 · Focus
On the mat there is only the next breath, the next strike, the next form. Carry that focus with you off the mat too.
04 · Perseverance
A black belt is just a white belt that did not quit. We help you keep going when it is hardest.

“Since starting at APEX TKD earlier this year, our son has grown greatly in confidence and discipline. Master Yu excels at teaching all ages and creating a welcoming environment for families. Truly an excellent school, highly recommended!”

“Super nice facility. Very professional and yet fun! Master Yu (the owner) is a 7-degree black belt; there are not many 7-degree black belts in the US. It is by far the best taekwondo place.”

“Very family-oriented atmosphere. I have been attending for almost 2 years and have thoroughly enjoyed it! If your kids need discipline, this school will help them. Excellent leadership in the black belts. I especially like the motto "Do It For Yourself."”

“I have been with Master Yu and NRTKD since August 2011. This is only one of 2 WTF schools in Athens and by far the best. Master Yu has a great rapport with children; they respect him. He brings out the best of his students, adult and children alike. They learn self-confidence and humility.”
